What are online high school courses like and is this a good idea?

Can you answer Papa Smurf’s question about Homeschooling?:
How long does a high school online course take and is it possible and not to much of a bad idea if i took French 1 this summer online and French 2 online, so I can take French 3 IB next year?

Or should I just stick to French 2 and only take a French 1 online course this summer!!??!

Homeschooling Feedback: At home textbooks are better, because then you’re in complete control.
Homeschooling Feedback: Park City Independent Online High School offers an interactive french courses for high school credit. They are really enjoyable, and make learning a foreign language fun. I am taking online spanish from them and it is much better then a traditional high school class.

Look for a school offering Apex Learning curriculum, they have a great French 1 and 2 program.
