Is online High school worth dropping out of regular school?

Can you answer Kyle R’s question about Homeschooling?:

I really really hate my school…Is online high school worth leaving my regular school? I want to have a good opportunity to go to college. Can i get into a good college with online courses?

Homeschooling Feedback: I answered this a question similar to this earlier. Here’s my reply.

You wouldn’t be “dropping out”, you would simply switch from public school to homeschooling.

First, check out your state laws at .

    I suggest an online school.
You could check to see if or is available for you. Those two are free, it’s just public school online.

Colleges WILL accept you if you are successful!
Colleges actually LIKE homeschoolers, so don’t worry!

    I wish you luck!

Homeschooling Feedback: Without sounding “Lame”. Stay in High School!!

You need the networking experience. And the challenge of, life is not easy. It is what you make it at that moment, wherever you may be. Remember, if you can make it through this, you will make it through anything. Namely a career that you struggled through college for, something you truly love. Only to realize that you ended up working with a bunch of $%&$#!
But you stayed on at the company because it pays you a little under six figures, LOL!! I hope you get my point.

P.S. I hated high School too, but it prepared me for this.

Homeschooling Feedback: I agree, you would not be dropping out. In fact you may find online high school classes are more challenging or fit your lifestyle better. You can search schools and find more answers on a free guide to online high schools like the one on

Homeschooling Feedback: If you are getting in trouble in traditional high school, it would be best to look for the *accredited* on-line schools in your state. As long as the on-line school is *accredited*, you will have no problem getting into a good college (provided you do your work, on time, and pass your tests).

Realize, too, that you can take many of your college courses on-line, or even telecourses (in some areas). College is so much better than high school … not all the juvenile drama and distractions.

Homeschooling Feedback: Dude im thinking about it. theres ups and downs

few ups- dont have to wake up early in the morning
dont have to deal with dick teachers, if theyre are some
not as much class work or studying for test
drama from preps or what ever

    down side- not as social
    dont make as many friends
probably loose friends such as school pals
lot of free time, which i think most people would run out to do with
have to wait till friends are out of school to chat

basically its good and bad, but get the same education. im thinking of doing it cause i cant wake up at 7 in the morning any more. im a late night person and i cant take another 3 yrs of early waking lol

but if you have friends im sure they’ll still be with you
