How to get funding for homeschooling in California?

Can you answer CC’s question about Homeschooling?:

I’m considering homeschooling and I’ve heard that one can get some special interest classes paid for such as music lessons and some funding for materials as well. Does anyone know how and where to get those funds for homeschooling in Alameda County, California?

Homeschooling Feedback: There are no funds available to pay for homeschooling classes. And if you think about it, that’s a good thing. When the government gives money for these purposes, it comes with strings, such as regulations.

    All the best.

Homeschooling Feedback: No public funds are available. However, there may be private or public non-Governement organizations out there who may contribute.
