Homeschooling Feedback: homeschooling is when you get taught by one person, by yourself. unschooling-I think you mean a public school. a lot of kids go to public school.

Homeschooling Feedback: They are similar but different. Both would be done at home, so would need to fill out homeschool paperwork. But it is a different method to the learning. I put a link to a good explanation.

Homeschooling Feedback: Homeschooling: structured schooling conducted by one or more parents either from books they have or from well-organized, professionally authored curricula. Friends of mine do it, and I think the kids are turning out fine.

Unschooling: letting kids learn what they want, when they want, from sources they choose. I think it’s unwise at best.

Homeschooling Feedback: homeschooling goes by a certain curriculum and i think a little more structured where unschooling is using what the child is interested in to teach basics. I don’t know how it is regulated but it can work just like homeschooling. It takes commitment and work. Of course someone who has never done either really cant judge like they seem to do alot of times just because they don’t think ‘homeschooling” is right. Type unschooling into a search engine and you will get lots of info.

Homeschooling Feedback: Unschooling is just one of many styles or approaches to homeschooling.

Do a search for Florida unschoolers to find out more about how unschooling might work in Florida.

Homeschooling Feedback: unschooling is a homeschooling style. There are many different ways to homeschool and all are valid.
No one way is better than the other. What is considered the “best” way to homeschool is what works best for your family. And sometimes what works best for each individual child.
I have two children and they both learn very differently. One needs a very formal, structured environment, and excells in intensive reading, report writing, so on and so forth.
My other child is more of a hands on, apply it to life type of learner.
Do not get locked in to thinking one way is the best, unless that one way works best for your particular family.
Homeschooling is about children and providing the best possible environment in which they can reach their absolute best.
